NHS clinicians face a documentation burden that is growing faster than the workforce. GPs often see 30 or more patients per day in 10-minute slots, with a significant portion of their time spent on documentation. Secondary care clinicians generate thousands of outpatient letters and discharge summaries annually. In a system under sustained workforce pressure, every minute spent on documentation is a minute not spent with patients. WhiteFieldHealth is built specifically for this reality — an AI medical scribe designed from the ground up for NHS workflows, NHS compliance requirements, and NHS budgets.

Built for NHS Compliance

Processing patient data in the NHS is not the same as processing it anywhere else. UK GDPR, the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit, DCB0129 clinical safety standards, and Caldicott Principles create a compliance landscape that generic AI tools cannot navigate. WhiteFieldHealth is designed to meet these requirements natively, not as an afterthought.

UK Data Residency

All patient audio, transcripts, and clinical notes are processed and stored within UK data centres. No data leaves UK borders at any point during the pipeline — from recording through transcription to note generation and storage.

NHS DSPT Alignment

WhiteFieldHealth is aligned with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit, designed to align with the National Data Guardian's ten data security standards. Formal DSPT submission is in progress.

DCB0129 Clinical Safety

Our approach follows DCB0129 principles for clinical risk management. Formal DCB0129 certification is in progress. Potential risks from AI-generated notes are systematically identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Cyber Essentials Ready

The platform is designed to align with Cyber Essentials requirements for boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, and patch management. Formal certification is in progress.

How NHS Clinicians Use WhiteFieldHealth

1
Standard GP Consultation

Record a routine 10-minute appointment. WhiteFieldHealth captures the full clinical encounter — presenting complaint, history, examination findings, assessment, and plan — and generates a structured SOAP note before the patient leaves. Review, amend if needed, and paste into your clinical system. Documentation that used to take 3 minutes now takes 20 seconds of review.

2
Urgent Care or Walk-In Centre

In urgent care settings where patient volume is high and encounters are brief, thorough documentation often gets deprioritised. WhiteFieldHealth captures the consultation in real time and generates notes that include triage category, clinical findings, treatments administered, safety-netting advice, and follow-up instructions — maintaining documentation quality even under time pressure.

3
Practice-Wide Rollout

Deploy across a multi-GP practice with team plans. Shared templates ensure consistent documentation standards. Practice managers get centralised oversight of usage and can standardise note formats for clinical audits, chronic disease management, and CQC preparation. Start with one or two clinicians and scale up as the team sees the time savings.

NHS Ambient Voice Technology Registry

In January 2026, NHS England published the Ambient Voice Technology Supplier Registry, listing 19 self-certified suppliers of ambient voice technology for healthcare settings. The registry establishes a baseline for safety and compliance, requiring suppliers to demonstrate MHRA registration (or exemption justification), DTAC compliance, DSPT submission, clinical safety cases, and evidence of benefit in NHS settings.

WhiteFieldHealth is currently working toward formal inclusion on the NHS AVT Registry. Our platform already meets the underlying compliance requirements — UK data residency, DSPT alignment, DCB0129 clinical safety, and Cyber Essentials — and we are working toward MHRA registration as part of our compliance roadmap. We are transparent about our current status: we are not yet listed, but we are building to meet every requirement.

For a comprehensive guide to the NHS AVT Registry, including what it means for clinicians and how to evaluate suppliers, see our NHS AVT Registry Guide.
